The project entails the upgrading of the cemeteries in Paul Roux. The work that was executed in terms of the contract comprises the construction of a Ripper Razor Mesh security fence around the upgrading of the existing cemeteries.

The construction of a new tarred access road and the construction of a new ablution facility. This project was done under operation Hlasela which means only small local contractors must be used; where the consulting engineer is appointed as the contractor. This was done in order to give training and exposure to the local HDI contractors in construction.

The project included the full participation of the community from the project identification phase up until the completion of the construction. Where possible, materials were bought from local suppliers.
