This project consists of the planning, design and supervision of the construction of ablution facilities, internal roads and 1,8m high security fencing around the old cemeteries and the new established cemetery in all 5 towns in Ngwathe Local Municipality.

The appointed contractor was a HDI contractor who had the expertise to finish this project successfully. This was done in order to give training and exposure to the local HDI contractors in construction. The project included the full participation of the community from the project identification phase up until the completion of the construction.

The contractor mainly made use of local labour. Where possible, materials were bought from local suppliers
