PCE Duties: To write a report to provide an update on the status of the water losses, the water need and future scenarios for Petrusburg and Bolokanang.

Terms of Reference and aim of the Report was to form part of the Geohydrological Groundwater Assessment (GWAP) of Petrusburg and Bolokanang, which started in September 2008. The report was written to provide an update on the status of the water losses, the water need and future scenarios addressing the current and future water need for Petrusburg and Bolokanang as well as the influence of the type of sanitation system (i.e. borne sanitation and VIPs) on the water need.

Positioning and installation of water meters on the bulk supply pipelines in order to make it possible to measure the actual demand for Petrusburg and Bolokanang; water balance for Petrusburg and Bolokanang; sewer night flow measurements to indicate fresh water leaks into the system and reservoir drop testing to determine the night flow.
